UniCare teams up with community partners to provide Merrimack Valley students needed school supplies, PPE

November 12, 2020

As part of UniCare's continued commitment to improving lives and communities in the Merrimack Valley and across the Commonwealth, UniCare partnered with West Congregational Church in Haverhill, Mass. to donate 50 backpacks as well as face masks, hand sanitizers, snacks, and school supplies to students at Stoklosa Middle School in Lowell, Mass. this month. The school is planning to distribute the backpacks to students during its upcoming Thanksgiving food program.

UniCare also teamed up with West Congregational Church to hold a backpack and school supply drive earlier this fall to benefit Haverhill Public Schools. Donors contributed enough school supplies and personal protective equipment to help 300 students.

UniCare, in partnership with its philanthropic arm, the UniCare Foundation, has committed more than $85,000 to support relief efforts in Massachusetts in the wake of the pandemic.
